About us
The Great Grimsby Family History Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month apart from August when we have a break. In December we have a social and quiz.
We meet at the Grimsby Town Hall. Doors open at 6:45pm, meetings commence at 7:30pm except the AGM, which starts at 7:00pm. There is a car park attached to the Town hall with free parking, and we are also on major bus routes.
Admission to the meetings is free to members: donations are welcome for non-members. These meetings are open to all – details can be obtained by emailing the branch, we can also include you in our Google group which keeps you in touch with our meetings.
Our meetings are a mix of family history topics, local history or of social history relevance. We also run workshops at regular intervals though the year.
We also have a Facebook page and a group which has lots of resources local to Grimsby.
