"The Compelling Story of the Iconic Memorial and its History".
The talk covers the Battles of Ypres, the Menin Gate before and after the FWW, the architects and design, the opening, the Last Post Association (and their centenary coming up in 2028), the Menin Gate today and the Ieper Visitor Centre.
David is our Society Librarian as well as a volunteer for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Genealogy Officer for the Great Northern Railway Society.
