The Fenland Family History Society was founded in 2001 to promote and encourage the study of family, local and social history. We will help with research for family history from anywhere in the world, but can offer resources with particular reference to persons having lived in, or having been associated with, the historical area now known as Fenland.

The Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire aims to assist in the conservation and enhancement of the historic environment of the county. The Trust endeavours to involve the local community and visitors by improving access to all aspects of this heritage, by offering opportunities to learn about the past and by organising heritage projects and events to celebrate the diverse heritage of the county.

Kingston-upon-Hull, part of the East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire were merged together as an administrative county named Humberside for the period 1 Apr 1974 to 1 Apr 1996.  Some social records are merged for posterity, and the River Humber still unifies the area geographically.

The influence of Sir Joseph Banks, one of Lincolnshire’s most famous sons and one of the greatest figures in Georgian England, is to be found worldwide – yet he is still not adequately recognised.
The aim of the Sir Joseph Banks Society is to stimulate interest in his life and achievements through education, research, publications and events, and by strengthening Lincolnshire links with Australia and New Zealand.

In the absence of permanent exhibition premises, a "Virtual Museum" has been created on-line to display the museums collection.

This website makes accessible primary material revealing the history of Italian and German prisoners of war (P.O.W.s) in Lincolnshire during and after the Second World War. The sources have been re-typed from the originals and made available to help those researching this topic.
